No. Basic stain pretreatment is included on every order. Heavily stained or specialty items may be set aside for review — we'll always call before adding any fee.

Drop-off attendants are at the counter Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM and Wednesday 11 AM – 4 PM. The self-serve laundromat itself is open daily 6 AM – 11 PM.

Standard turnaround is the next day. Same-day service is available before noon for $0.50/lb extra. Commercial accounts can request guaranteed turnaround windows.

What is the best way to deal with stains?

As soon as a stain happens, rinse or soak the garment in cold water, apply a stain remover, and get the item in the wash. If the stain doesn't disappear, don't put it in the dryer — heat sets the stain. Repeat the stain remover and washing process.

Wash delicates by hand when possible. If you prefer to use the washer, put items in a mesh laundry bag and run a gentle cycle in cold water.

What is the correct water temperature to use?

Hot water is appropriate for cotton whites, bedding, towels, and heavily soiled work clothes (especially grease or oil). Warm water suits man-made fabrics and moderately stained items. Cold water is best for items that might shrink, dark colors that bleed, and delicates — and it lowers your utility bill.

What is the difference between liquid and powdered detergent?

Liquid detergent tends to be more expensive but contains more enzymes and is more effective in warmer water and on stains. Powder detergent is fine for general laundry, but it sometimes doesn't dissolve completely in cold water.

How much detergent should I really use?

Try using about half of the recommended amount. Too much detergent creates excess suds that trap soil and redeposit it onto fabrics — and in front-loading machines it can leave a lingering odor.

Usually one of two reasons: you're washing in water that's too cool, or you're overloading the machine with very dirty clothes. Try a hotter wash and smaller loads.
